Brooks & Dunn Close Neon Moon Tour With Two Nights at Dickies Arena

FORT WORTH. Brooks & Dunn bring the Neon Moon Tour to Dickies Arena on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9 and 10, the last two dates on the tour’s announced 2026 schedule. Both shows start at 7 p.m., with doors at 6 p.m., and Tucker Wetmore and Caylee Hammack open both nights.

It is a big week for the building. The Red Clay Strays play the same room Wednesday and Thursday, giving Dickies Arena four straight nights of country and roots rock before CeCe Winans and Breaking Benjamin round out the week.

Fort Worth closes the Neon Moon Tour

Brooks & Dunn announced the 2026 leg on Feb. 24 with 14 U.S. dates, starting Sept. 10 in Evansville, Indiana, and ending Oct. 9 in Fort Worth, according to the Live Nation announcement. Two days later, the duo added Saturday, Oct. 10, citing fan demand, CultureMap Fort Worth reported, which makes Saturday the closing night. Fort Worth was also the only Texas stop when the dates came out, CultureMap noted, and the stop before it is Thursday’s show at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana.

There is a Texas connection, too. Ronnie Dunn was born in Coleman, Texas, in 1953, and attended Abilene Christian College before his career took him to Tulsa and then Nashville, according to the Country Music Hall of Fame, which inducted the duo in 2019. Kix Brooks was born in Shreveport, Louisiana.

What the show has looked like on this tour

A review from an earlier stop gives a sense of the night. At Pine Knob Music Theatre outside Detroit on Sept. 24, the duo played a 17-song, 90-minute set that included 11 country No. 1 hits, Gary Graff wrote for The Oakland Press. They opened with “Brand New Man” and “My Next Broken Heart,” closed the main set with “My Maria” and came back for “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” and “Only in America.” Set lists can change, so treat that as a guide.

The tour takes its name from “Neon Moon,” one of four straight No. 1 singles from the 1991 debut album Brand New Man, CultureMap noted. Their most recent album, Reboot II, came out in 2024 and features other artists reworking Brooks & Dunn songs. Later this fall, the duo receives the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the CMA Awards in Nashville on Nov. 18, per The Oakland Press.

Six nights at Dickies Arena, Oct. 7-12

Never Late News pulled times and openers from each Dickies Arena event page to show how busy the building is this week:

The Red Clay Strays, a six-piece band from Mobile, Alabama, are touring behind Grateful, their third album, released June 5. They were the CMA’s vocal group of the year in 2025. When the Grateful Tour was announced, Fort Worth was one of only two Texas stops, along with San Antonio on Sept. 20, and the Thursday show was added in May, CultureMap Fort Worth reported. Note the earlier start: 6:30 p.m., a half hour before the Brooks & Dunn shows.

Saturday traffic: Texas-OU and a Dallas concert

Saturday is busy on both ends of the metroplex. Texas and Oklahoma kick off at 2:30 p.m. at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, and Kacey Musgraves plays American Airlines Center that night, as Never Late News reported this week. Fans driving west from Dallas can take I-30 to the Chisholm Trail Parkway and use the free University Drive exit, then turn onto Trail Drive for the Yellow Lots, the arena’s directions say.

Parking, bags and arena rules

Dickies Arena lots open 3 1/2 hours before show time, which means 3:30 p.m. for the Brooks & Dunn shows and 3 p.m. for the Red Clay Strays. Parking prices depend on the event, and lots take cash or cards. Options include the Yellow Lots across Trail Drive and the 2,200-space Chevrolet Garage, per the arena’s directions and parking page. Rideshare pickups are on Harley Avenue on the north side of the building.

The arena’s guest guide limits bags to 12 by 6 by 12 inches, bans backpacks and video recording, and does not allow re-entry. Ticketmaster is the only authorized ticket seller, and the box office at 1911 Montgomery St. is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
